In the Automotive & Circular Economy Clusters (ACE-Clusters) project, the operations of Business Oulu's Oulu Automotive Cluster and Circular Economy Cluster are developed further. The cooperation of companies is supported by events, thematic working groups and communications. The aim of the cluster work is to lower the thresholds of companies' cooperation, innovation, growth and internationalization. The clusters increase the visibility of companies and Northern Ostrobothnia nationally and internationally and strengthens the region's attractiveness. With the ACE Clusters project, the activities of the clusters are organized more clearly than at present, so that they can better meet the needs of companies. The aim of the project is to apply and receive the European Clusters Labeling Excellence Structure (EUCLES) certification, which is granted based on an audit. Certification also supports the internationalization of clusters. In addition to the certification process, the previously completed development report supports the organization of the clusters' operations. Companies' skills related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) as well as companies' capability concerning strategic foresight work are developed by sharing information and by including companies in concrete actions related to these themes. The project implements the smart specialization strategy of Northern Ostrobothnia. The project is funded by European Regional Development Fund and BusinessOulu.
