Job For You

The project responds to the need to attract international skilled workforce to the Lapland region. Employment has an impact on the integration of immigrants into society and the region and is important for Finland's competitiveness and prosperity. The Job For You project can address this need by promoting interaction and co-development between international talents and the business sector, including on the diversity of working life and increasing the receptiveness of the labour market. The project will guide graduates in building a career path that matches their skills and build employment solutions together with employers. The project supports employers in finding and recruiting skilled workers. The guidance skills of those working with international talents in the region will be strengthened through the project measures. The main objective of the project is to promote the employment of highly educated international talents in the Lapland region. The aim is to provide high quality guidance to the target group of job seekers and to improve their employability skills. In order to strengthen the integration of international jobseekers in the region, their spouses will also be taken into account in small group meetings, providing them with essential information to support their integration into society and working life. The main objective can be divided into three parts: • Meeting and guiding international talents • Developing guidance and career guidance skills, in particular guiding international talents • Developing diversity of working life The project consists of three work packages: 1. Guiding and developing guidance for international professionals 2. Strengthening career guidance for international professionals 3. Promoting employment pathways for international talent and developing work-life skills As a result of the project, international talents have found pathways to work. University-educated international professionals receive individual and small group coaching, which also takes into account spousal guidance. The guidance skills of the information, counselling and guidance experts in the Lapland region will be developed from a multicultural perspective. The development of guidance skills will enhance the employment and integration of international jobseekers in the region. Multidisciplinary networking and business cooperation will be developed. The project will result in effective solutions for recruiting an international expert and a set of good practices for diversifying working life. The competitiveness of the business sector will be strengthened through the development of talent recruitment.
