The goal of the project is to promote the mental health, well-being and functional capacity of the residents of the Kainuu welfare area, utilizing inclusion and community spirit. The goal is also to promote the paths of working-age Kainuu residents towards education and employment. The project produces a mental health program for the Kainuu welfare area and supports the implementation of the program. With the help of the mental health program, mental health skills are increased in Kainuu municipalities and in the Kainuu welfare area. With the help of the project, the function of the welfare, health and safety (HYTETU) working groups of Kainuu municipalities are developed. All development is based on user-driven design methods and thus participates both professionals and residents of the Kainuu welfare area. The concrete results of “Health and mental well-being to Kainuu” are: 1. The function of the HYTETU working groups of Kainuu municipalities are positioned as part of the well-being ecosystem 2. The mental health expertise of Kainuu`s municipalities, organizations and welfare area operators has increased 3. Mental health promotion trainings have been organized for Kainuu municipalities, organizations and welfare area operators 4. Mental health promotion events have been organized for Kainuu`s municipalities, organizations and welfare area operators 5. Kainuu`s mental health program has been completed 6. Kainuu`s mental health program has been implemented 7. The starting seminar and the final seminar of the project have been organized 8. Publications have been produced 9. The audiovisual ”KATE user guide” is used by the municipalities` HYTETU working groups
