The goal of the project is to develop a digital learning path to Kainuu region. In the project the different school levels develop their digital activities in cooperation to meet the needs of learners. The goal will be reached by promoting the digital and pedagogical skills of teachers from Kainuu in basic education, at the second level and at the higher education level. Increasing digital competence in the education sector contributes to strengthening and increasing the competence level of the region in the long term. This, in turn, increases the attractiveness of teaching jobs in Kainuu. The measures of the project are divided into five work packages, the first of which builds a digital learning path and produces additional information for the implementation of other actions. In the second work package, teachers' digital competence and digital pedagogical skills are strengthened. In the third, the focus is on supporting the management skills and leadership of the managers of educational institutions in a digitalizing environment. In the fourth work package, the communication of the project is implemented. Administrative measures are implemented in the fifth work package. The results of the project are divided into qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative assessment is based on a needs assessment prepared in work package one, in addition to which functionality evaluation is carried out in the project's different work packages, e.g., with participant questionnaires. The most important of the quantitative measures is to strengthen digital competence and digital pedagogy 50% of the teachers and manager in the education sector in Kainuu region. The following Kainuu municipalities - Hyrynsalmi, Kajaani, Paltamo, Puolanka, Ristijärvi, Sotkamo and Suomussalmi - are involved in the project with self-financing. Educational organizations include Kajaani city's educational business institution and Kajaani University of Applied Sciences.
