The project consists of selected competence themes, which will support young people to become versatile professionals for the needs of the working life. Competence themes: artificial intelligence, data security, well-being, and responsibility have been identified as topics that require additional knowledge both in companies and among job seekers. The competence packages created based on these themes respond to various types of skill levels, ranging from basic to expert knowledge. The competence packages are heavily based on exercises and project work, which have been recognized as effective learning methods even for individuals who have had difficulties progressing through traditional studies. If some time has passed since their studies, practical work can refresh their memory. This learning method also concretizes the use of skills and provides participants with tangible evidence in their own portfolios and CVs. At the same time, they receive personalized, step-by-step support for their studies and employment. Participation in the project can take place either on the premises of the implementer or remotely. The participation period includes immersing oneself in the competence theme, carrying out exercise projects related to the topic, which simulate working life, and job searching. Throughout the process, project experts are available to assist participants in managing everyday life, job searching, and substantive expertise issues. Anyone can participate regardless of their educational background. The objectives of the project are as follows: 1. Young people in transition phases will gain a clearer understanding of their multidisciplinary and transferable skills as well as the skills needed in companies, and with support, they will be able to transition smoothly. 2. Through concrete project tasks, young people will feel empowered and prove their up-to-date skills to the working life and become employed. 3. The participants' networks in the working life will grow. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in discussions related to the development of the business sector and recognize the need for various skills in different fields, and be able to respond to them. 4. The remote work trial model creates new participation opportunities for young people facing difficult employment situations. Remote work trials enable participation for individuals who have not had the opportunity or readiness to participate before. Companies can guide work trial participants remotely through the use of models and tools developed for this purpose. The remote participation model provides participation opportunities for young people living in remote areas on an equal footing with those living in larger cities. This has been designed in close collaboration with Kuntakokeilu, and the model is seen as having potential at the national level as well. 5. Participants with special support needs will be able to transition smoothly between studies, internships, and employment with support. Young people will be able to improve their own lives by understanding, for example, well-being-related themes from a working life perspective. As a result of the project, young people will enter the workforce who: - understand significant current and future factors of change in the world of work and have the skills to respond to these demands - can identify their own areas of expertise and enrich them through multidisciplinary knowledge - transfer up-to-date skills related to responsibility, technology development, and well-being into the workplace.
