Strengthen the Chain! -project

The aim of the project is to promote and streamline access to the labour market for people with a low labour force status. During the project, the goal is to build effective employment pathways between jobseekers and employers and to develop and implement measures to promote employment. The aim is also to increase measures, services and guidance that strengthen work ability and promote access to work and enable employees to work applying the work ability they have. Specifically, the project will provide companies in sectors with labour shortages with more information on recruitment subsidies and ways to encourage employing people with a low labour force status. The project will enrich the diversity of work communities by considering means and providing tools for equal and non-discriminatory recruitment practices. The employment of people difficult to employ is supported and strengthened by solutions based on individual needs, and their experiences of inclusion and equality are increased. The project will develop transition phase processes working with the employment areas under development and support the activities of the areas by developing steering competence for the target group. A special target group is students graduating from a secondary education institution who are at risk of social exclusion and who are poorly integrated, regardless of their previous work or education history, and who face challenges in finding employment. The development measures are divided into three themes. • Diversity of the work community • Ways of modifying work • Successful transition phase service path and support for people difficult to employ The project will be implemented by HAMK and Haaga-Helia Vocational teacher education, as well as Kiipula Vocational College, Spesia Vocational College, Church Resources Agency/the STEP Education and Vates-säätiö sr. The project will be implemented in cooperation with regional companies, service providers of wellbeing services counties and municipalities. To promote the employment of people difficult to employ, the project works closely with business life and employment services. All in all, the objective of the project is to create a well-functioning service chain where the individual starting points of people difficult to employ, the timely coordination of different services, and the employment capacity of workplaces are considered.
