The project focuses on developing education for data center professionals to meet the rapidly growing demands of the sector in Kainuu. The goal is to create innovative educational solutions for higher education as well as new programs for secondary education, including vocational schools and high schools. Additionally, the project aims to implement measures that enhance the attractiveness of the sector among applicants and to develop a comprehensive plan for skill development in the data center sector extending to 2030. The project's actions ensure that the increasing demand for skilled professionals in the data center sector is addressed comprehensively and based on actual needs. This means that the educational programs will be designed flexibly so they can quickly adapt to changing labor market conditions and technological requirements. The educational programs and other initiatives will be developed in close collaboration with companies. This partnership ensures that the training directly meets the needs of the labor market and provides students with relevant and up-to-date skills. Kajaani is becoming a hub for data centers, and with this project, the region's educational opportunities will improve significantly. This not only promotes economic growth in the area but also creates new career opportunities for professionals.
