The aim of the project is to provide the public and institutions with timely, high-quality and comprehensive information on changes in the state of the environment, developing the operation of the State environmental monitoring and control system and implementing systematic, regular and targeted observations and measurements of the state of the environment. To achieve this goal, investments will be made in environmental monotoring and control system equipment: expanding the meteorological network with 10 new meteorological stations and 1 aerological radiosonation system; installing a meteorological radar system, which includes 1 renewed and upgraded existing radar in Mārupe county, as well as 1 new radar in Saldus county.
