The territory of the Republic of Bulgaria is characterized by a high degree of geodynamic activity. This is predetermined by intensive tectonic and seismic processes in past geological periods, some of which continue to the present. Geodynamic hazards have been observed in the country, varying in type, mechanism, intensity and extent, which are natural and destructive, leading to disaster situations , threatening human life and health, the security of settlements, buildings, cultural property, damaging roads and other technical infrastructure and degrading environmental components. The present project aims to finance activities related to the implementation of preventive actions on three sections of the road III-662 "Tvarditsa-Elena". The road sections have been identified as urgent on the basis of a prioritization carried out according to the "Methodology for prioritization of a list of sites with adverse geodynamic processes (landslides, collapses, erosions, abrasions) on the Republican road network with which the Road Infrastructure Agency will apply for funding under the Environment program 2021-2027" ( Appendix 1). Cracks and settlements are observed along the sections. The scope of work includes recorded landslides with the following identification numbers: No. No. No.: VTR 13.06896.02, VTR 13.06896.04, VTR 13.06896.05, and VTR13.06896.06. This measure provides for the strengthening and rehabilitation of the road structure. To ensure monitoring of the site, the construction of a CMS will be provided.
