The adverse geodynamic processes (landslides, erosions and abrasions, etc.) are one of the significant natural disasters in Bulgaria as a consequence of climate change. As a result, on a global scale, in particular in the country, there are a large number of sections of the NRN affected by adverse geodynamic processes, which act spontaneously and destructively and lead to disastrous and catastrophic situations, threaten the life and health of people, the security of settlements, destroy residential, commercial, industrial buildings, cultural values, sever roads, g. They destroy agricultural areas and forest territories, deteriorate environmental components. The site of this project proposal has been identified as urgent based on a prioritization of the NRN sites according to criteria assessing the level of hazard, the expected number of people in the area to be affected, the area of the geodynamic process, etc. It is number 1 in the prioritized list of RIA sites, prepared in accordance with the "Methodology for prioritization of the list of sites with adverse geodynamic processes (landslides, collapses, erosions, abrasions) on the Republican road network, with which the Road Infrastructure Agency will apply for funding under the Environment Programme 2021-2027" (Annex 1). The project aims at the implementation of strengthening and permanent stabilization of the roadway of road III-181 "/Sofia-Ring-Road/ - Bistritsa - Zheleznitsa - Alino - Pernik border" in the section from km 24+340 to km 24+400. For this purpose engineering geological and hydrogeological studies of the section have been carried out and variant solutions for the type of strengthening have been developed. Following the ETC, a variant of the reinforcement structure was selected: a single-row pile structure. Additional drainage and surface water disposal measures will be carried out outside the affected region.
