The PP provides for a major renovation of a section of the republican road II-11from km 0+000 to km 9+990 with a length of 9.990km, entirely on the territory of the municipality of Vidin.The planned activities will improve the quality of the RRN,serving the settlements through which it passes and ensuring their connection with the administrative center-the city of Vidin,and will contribute to the improvement of transport and functional connections on the territory of the municipality.Improving the road surface will reduce the amount of fine dust particles in the atmosphere and create conditions for optimal speed and engine control modes,thereby reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions.The aim of the project is to restore and improve the technical and operational characteristics and bearing capacity of the road section's pavement and good drainage in order to ensure traffic safety,travel comfort and reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere and ensuring sustainable and safe infrastructure, increasing population mobility,increasing investments in the region,creating new jobs,improving the state of the environment by reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions, enabling greater access of the local population to health and educational services,stimulating the development of tourism,improving transport connectivity with the Republic of Serbia and strengthening inter-neighborly relations.It will contribute to the implementation of the project idea set out in the ITSR of the SZR for the construction of a "Danube Panoramic Road" through the reconstruction of road II-11Vidin-Dimovo-Lom-Oryahovo.The implementation of the PP will contribute to the implementation of the specific objective of Priority1-promoting integrated and inclusive social, economic and environmental development, culture, natural heritage, sustainable tourism and security in urban areas, in particular on the territory of Vidin Municipality, which is one of the 10 largest urban municipalities in the country
