The project proposal envisages the implementation of green infrastructure measures aimed at improving the connectivity between fragmented habitats of reptile species along sections of the national road network that pass through protected areas of the NATURA 2000 network. The planned activities aim to improve the conservation status of the following reptile species:Hermann’s tortoise (Testudo hermanni), Spur-thighed tortoise (Testudo graeca), Four-lined snake (Elaphe quatuorlineata), Caspian turtle (Mauremys caspica), Blotched snake (Elaphe sauromates), Leopard snake (Zamenis situla). The activities will be implemented exclusively on road sections located within NATURA 2000 protected areas, as follows: BG0000116 "Kamchiya", BG0000146 "Gradina – Zlatna Rybka Beach", BG0000218 "Derventski Heights 1", BG0000219 "Derventski Heights 2", BG0000239 "Obnova – Karaman Dola", BG0000242 "Chengene Skele Bay", BG0000247 "Nikopol Plateau", BG0000270 "Atanasovsko Lake", BG0000271 "Mandra – Poda", and BG0001007 "Strandzha". .....Due to character limitations in the input field, the full information related to the section "Brief description of the project proposal" is provided in Annex B – Description of the Project Proposal, attached in the “Attachments” section.
