The project "Prevention of floods in the city of Lom and the Lom terminal through the reconstruction of the eastern quay" (with the short name "Flood prevention in Lom - reconstruction of the eastern quay") includes construction and installation works for the rehabilitation of the eastern quay in the Lom port terminal. More specifically, the construction of a new quay wall and its adjacent infrastructure is planned, incl. raising the entire embankment level of the quay to the elevation of the southern and western quays, construction of completely new under-crane roads, railway tracks and railway connections with Lom station, road connections, free unloading areas and open storage areas, high-current and low-current electrical installation of the terminal, creating conditions for fire extinguishing and water bunkering of vessels. The new quay wall is planned to be built immediately in front of the existing compromised structure of the eastern quay. The start date of the project is 15.09.2025 - the indicative date of publication of the public order for the selection of a contractor with the subject "Rehabilitation of the eastern quay in Lom port terminal under the project "Flood prevention in Lom - reconstruction of the eastern quay".
