The project proposal is focused on the development and implementation of the Maritime Transport Safety and Sustainability (MarTaSS) IAS, which will contribute to improving transport safety in the Black Sea, as well as to protecting the marine and coastal environment from pollution caused by shipping.The system will serve to control and manage information processes and resources related to the preventive monitoring and control of ship traffic regarding compliance with shipping safety rules.The system is completely new for EAMA and represents an information and communication system of the Command and Control System (C2) type - a real-time command and control system.The implementation of the project is expected to lead to increased shipping safety by avoiding collisions, strandings and other accidents in the territorial sea, and will provide an possibility of preventing violations of the SOLAS convention related to disabling the AIS system, as well as better protection of the marine environment from pollution, through active monitoring of ships for compliance with the requirements of the MARPOL and COLREG conventions. The project has an implementation period of 30 months, with an indicative project start date of 01.10.2025.
