In line with the European Union's (EU) emphasis on the importance of data in creating a secure, sustainable and prosperous future, Bulgaria aims to develop a national data ecosystem as a key component of the next stage of digital transformation. The availability of reliable and accessible data and interoperable data systems is a proven generator of value in the economy and in public and private life. Globally, public and private sector data are used to create innovative services and products that support the economy and attract investment and reinvestment into it, create jobs, improve quality of life, protect the environment and increase resource efficiency. A wide range of activities will be implemented within the project, which will lay the foundation for the implementation of innovative projects using data to deliver products and services, such as data spaces in priority areas/domains. This will be achieved through analyses, assessments and activities to develop a data governance framework and make it a strategic priority of digital transformation.
