The project will allow persons who have been started their training to acquire a specialty in the healthcare system and who have been received support under the project BG05M9OP001-1.015-0001 "Specialization in health", financed under the OPHRD 2014-2020, to continue and complete their studies. The project will be implement under the same financial conditions as the support provided for the specialists as before, as follows: payment of fees for theoretical and practical training for the remaining time of the specialization according to the individual curriculum of the trainee of each specialist, and provision of a monthly scholarships to persons without income. Providing human resources in the health sector is a long process that takes years. The acquisition of a specialty is a period of study lasting between 3 and 5 years, and the financial support for the specialists is of key importance to completing the specialization. Therefore, the medical professionals provision, attracting and retention require a focused effort of different institutions. The successful implementation of the project will support the realization of the Ministry of Health`s policies to ensure the necessary personnel in the country in various medical specialties. With the financial support of the PHRD 2021-2027 a favorable environment is created, providing opportunities and incentives for the specialists to complete the process of acquiring a specialty in the healthcare system. The project is in accordance with Specific Objective 5 of Priority 1 of the PHRD 2021-2027, focused on supporting lifelong learning, acquiring new skills, improving qualifications and promoting the professional development. The project continues and builds on the support measures for acquiring a medical specialty, implemented in the project BG05M9OP001-1.015-0001 "Specialization in health care" under the OPHRD 2014-2020, and project BG051PO001-6.2.18 "New opportunities for doctors in Bulgaria" under OPHRD 2007-2013.
