Modernization of VET

The implementation of the project will contribute to improving the quality, inclusiveness and effectiveness of vocational education and training. The implementation of the planned activities will support the development of the vocational education and training using modern teaching methods and digital educational materials on professional training with digital and interactive educational content. The project proposal envisages the implementation of activities for: development and application of a new List of Professions for Vocational Education and Training (LPVET) and new educational content; introduction and implementation of flexible learning pathways, micro credentials and credits in VET; improvement of the skills and competences of vocational teachers and students; elaboration and introduction of educational materials with innovative digital learning content; introduction of mentoring and tutoring; conducting student practices in a real working environment, increasing the attractiveness of vocational education and training among students and parents. The activities will be implemented by applying sectoral approach to achieve a closer connection between VET and the real needs of the labor market and a faster adaptation of VET to the dynamics of the labor market. The inclusion of new technologies in training, as well as the different organization of the training process (mixed training, training in a different physical environment) will contribute to greater attractiveness of VET and will attract more candidates to enroll in vocational education and training. The foreseen measures aim at improving the professional competences and qualifications of vocational teachers and the skills of students, so that they can meet the needs of the labor market. Providing additional financial support in the form of scholarships for students and introducing flexible learning pathways will reduce the risk of early school leaving.
