Upgrading the capacity of the GIS-based electronic platform ‘Single Information Point’ and developing functionalities for the establishment of a National Access Point for multimodal travel information services

The project proposal will ensure the upgrading of the capacity of the Single Information Point (SIP) and the development of functionalities for establishing a National Access Point for information services for multimodal travel. The new functionalities will cover obligations related to broadband mapping, measures to reduce the costs of deploying high-speed electronic communications networks, resource savings and reduction of the carbon footprint on the environment, and access to information on available infrastructure. Compliance with Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/1926 with regard to the provision of EU-wide multimodal travel information services will also be guaranteed. The main activities include analysis, preparation of a system design, development of new modules, implementation, user training, and provision of quality project management. The Ministry of Transport and Communications conducted a public procurement procedure ‘Upgrading the capacity of the GIS-based electronic platform ‘Single Information Point’ and developing functionalities for the establishment of a National Access Point for multimodal travel information services" launched with Decision F376948 and with a unique number in the Centralized Automated Information System for Electronic Public Procurement (CAIS EPP): 00042-2023-0029. In 2023, a commission was formed to prepare the documentation, and in 2024, a commission was formed for evaluation and ranking. Due to appeals of the documentation and subsequently of the decision on contractor selection, MTC signed a contract (Contract D-8, attached) with the selected contractor on 15 April 2025, for a period of 14 months. The contractual deadlines commence from the date of signing. The implementation of the project will result in reducing administrative burdens, increasing transparency, improving services for citizens and businesses, creating a better digital environment in the transport sector, and ensuring cross-sectoral coordination.
