Project proposal envisages the implementation of a number of activities aiming at upgrading the outcomes achieved by the District Information Point /DIP/ Stara Zagora and provides conditions for its effective operation within year 2024-2029. The project goal is to promote the EU cohesion policy in Bulgaria and to raise awareness among the local community for the European cohesion policy, funding opportunities, Partnership agreement and also the role of the EU funds for the local and regional development, the application process etc. Provision of the necessary operational costs for DIP will create optimal conditions for the project activities’ fulfillment. DIP will continue to offer current expert information on the EU funding opportunities in its office, by phone, email and throughout the information events in the municipalities of Stara Zagora region. DIP will participate in the implementation of all initiatives of the network. If necessary, DIP will create and distribute materials among the participants in the public events containing current information for funding, including application guidelines, eligible beneficiaries and activities. Pursuant to the Regional Development Fund DIP will take part in the Mediation Unit /MU/ and the Public Consultations’ Unit /PCU/ at the Regional Development Council /RDC/. Its participation in the MU will contribute to build partnerships between local authorities, businesses, NGO sector, academia and other stakeholders and to shape concepts for Integrated Territorial Investments /CITI/. PCU functions are linked to public consultations within the community for presenting the CITIs approved and getting the feedback summerized in a report to the Regional development Council /RDC/. Project implementation will provide a chance to Stara Zagora District Information Point to keep its leading role in offering an up-to-date information for the European policies in Bulgaria.
