The project proposal envisages the implementation of measures related to the development of social infrastructure on the territory of the Municipality of Blagoevgrad by creating an appropriate material base for a new social service and the implementation of green and energy efficiency measures that will contribute to improving the parameters of the environment and the quality of life on the territory of the municipality. The main activities include the repair, reconstruction and implementation of energy efficiency measures of an existing building in the city center, which after renovation will be transformed into a Community Center for Vulnerable Groups. The necessary furniture and equipment will also be purchased to ensure the effective functioning of the social service. The center's activities will be related to providing support to representatives of vulnerable groups in society, who will receive a wide range of services in accordance with the identified needs, including early intervention for disabilities, family and health counselling, advisory support related to educational and labour integration, etc. Currently, the building is in poor condition, only part of it is used to provide physiotherapy services, and despite its central location, most of the building is practically unusable. The project envisages the improvement of the green space in the immediate vicinity of the building, which will be used by the users of the social service, and due to its central location, by all residents and guests of the city.
