The project "Reconstruction and renovation of park spaces in the Bachinovo area" is aimed at improving the green infrastructure and increasing security in public spaces, promoting outdoor sports and developing tourism. It is part of PA 4 "Tourism and Recreation Zone" in the RDP of Blagoevgrad Municipality. Park "Bachinovo" is a green oasis for the residents and visitors of Blagoevgrad, located 3.5 km from the central part of the city, in the valley of the Blagoevgradska Bistritsa River. This natural area is a preferred place for recreation and entertainment, providing a unique opportunity to connect with nature. The project envisages providing an appropriate, attractive and accessible infrastructure that meets the needs of all users, including people with disabilities. The planned activities include the reconstruction and expansion of existing alleys, the construction of new pedestrian and bicycle routes, the installation of new park furniture and waste bins, the construction of a bridge, children's and sports playgrounds, the expansion and improvement of the pump track, the installation of energy-saving lighting and video surveillance systems, irrigation systems, recreation areas, etc. In addition, the planned enrichment of vegetation will contribute to biodiversity and improve air quality in the area. The project represents comprehensive concept for creating an aesthetic, sustainable and integrating environment in an area with a high concentration of public functions, the implementation of which will not only improve the infrastructure, but also help promote social activity and interaction between residents. By creating an attractive environment, it is expected to increase the number of visitors to the park, which will have a positive effect on the local economy and promote sustainable tourism. The main objective of the project is to contribute to improving the quality of life of the population and to promote environmentally sustainable development in the region.
