The integrated project idea is aimed at vulnerable groups of all ages in the Municipality of Varna and aims to achieve: - integrated development of the region through the preservation and optimal use of human potential, improving skills, ensuring equal access to quality education and healthcare, improved conditions for social services. - a favorable environment for the development of children and students, especially a healthy and safe environment, in line with the regulatory framework in the Republic of Bulgaria. - contribution to ensuring equality, social inclusion and non-discrimination. - an accessible environment for people with disabilities in the intervention sites. - reduction of direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions. - improved public spaces. In this regard, investments are planned to achieve an overall effect: - for the youngest - through measures in a nursery; - for adolescents - through measures in a school and in a day care center for children and youth; - for all other age groups – through measures in a specialized hospital for active treatment of oncological diseases. Improved opportunities for diagnosing oncological diseases also cover all age groups and will strengthen the health culture in the municipality, as well as allow for timely and adequate treatment. - All age groups in the target territories are potential users of improved park and inter-block spaces. Access to green areas, respectively, cleaner air is part of the health care of all age and social groups. - People with disabilities will receive easier access to the sites of intervention. The selected measures cover a maximum of the territory of the Municipality of Varna and their implementation will have a lasting positive effect on the surrounding areas. Education and social protection are the main focuses and pillars of the priorities for the development of Varna.
