The demographic situation in the Republic of Bulgaria outlines a serious crisis related to the continued reduction and aging of the population. An increase in the health problems of the population, as well as an increase in the number of elderly people living alone and persons in need of individualized support, also help to deepen the negative demographic trends. The positive results achieved, through the implementation of projects for the provision of care in a home environment, motivate the Municipality of Vidin to look for an opportunity to upgrade and expand the spectrum of hourly mobile integrated health and social services, including psychological counseling, through which to improve the quality of life the elderly and the disabled. The implementation of the Project "Home Care in the Municipality of Vidin" will ensure the continuation and upgrading of the model created over the years for the provision of hourly mobile integrated health and social services for the elderly and persons with disabilities who are unable to lead an independent life and will contributed to improving their social, health and psychological status. Hourly mobile integrated health and social services at homes and psychological support will be provided for elderly people unable to care for themselves and people with disabilities. The delivery of food, foodstuffs and basic necessities will also continue, as well as the provision of transport for the personnel providing the services from/to the homes of the individuals. To the representatives of the information will be provided regarding prevention and prevention of health and socially significant diseases, including consultations with a nutritionist, etc. specialists if necessary. In order to increase the quality of services, training and supervision will be conducted for the personnel directly involved in providing them to end users.
