The main objective of project Green Vratsa - the mission is possible! is to contribute to improvement of atmospheric air quality (AAQ) by reducing pollution from used old wood and coal appliances from households in Vratsa municipality.Domestic heating with wood and coal is a major source of air pollution. Replacing wood- and coal-fired appliances with alternative, environmentally friendly heating appliances will improve AAQ.The main activities are: Preparatory; Communication campaigns; Technical support for: collecting applications from representatives of target group, providing assistance to the potential final recipients of the aid in completing and submitting the required documents, on-site visits to homes, as well as for signing contracts between the Municipality and citizens;Dismantling and provision for recycling of high-emission stoves and boilers working with solid fuel; Delivery,installation and warranty maintenance of environmentally friendly appliances/heating systems; Delivery, installation, warranty maintenance and insurance of PV systems for own consumption; Organization and visibility. Target group is individuals owning a residential property on the territory of Vratsa municipality, using solid fuel heating appliances - wood and coal.Expected results: Contribution to improving the air quality control system on the territory of Vratsa municipality by reducing the emissions of FDP10 from domestic heating, incl. and by raising public awareness. Contribution to the implementation of the country's commitments in the sector and the achievement of goals arising from European and national legislation, which are conditioned by the Decision of the Court of Justice of EU in case C-488/15/5.4. 2017 for non-compliance with content standards of FDP10 in the atmospheric air in agglomerations and areas of the country and the non-fulfillment of the obligations under Directive 2008/50/EU regarding the maximum permissible values of dust particles in the atmospheric air.
