The project "Future for children in the municipality of Varbitsa" will provide prerequisites for increasing children's well-being. This will be achieved through a combination of policies and measures aimed at ensuring comprehensive care and protection of children, support for families, quality education and health care and access to services. Main activities in the project proposal are: 1. Health prophylaxis and prevention, awareness of health care. 2. Prevention programs in the most vulnerable and marginalized communities. 3. Measures to increase health culture in terms of disease prevention in children. 4. Services for early child development - formation of parenting skills; family counseling and support; early intervention for children with disabilities and developmental difficulties. 5. Provision of patronage care for children from 0 to 3 years. 6. Provision of preventive and supportive services in the community for children and youth up to the completion of secondary education, but not more than 20 years of age. 7. Integrated health and social services for children and youth until the completion of secondary education, but no more than 20 years of age. 8. Support for young people up to the completion of secondary education, but no more than 20 years of age, using social services for residential care. 9. Introductory and upgrading trainings, incl. and supervision. To implement these activities, specialists with different professional profiles will be appointed: social, health and educational. They will provide various integrated health and social services for children from 0 to 18 years. A specialized team will work towards reducing the negative consequences, promoting social inclusion and preventing the transmission of poverty between generations. Measures for prevention, raising the health culture and informing about services for children are foreseen.
