The current project aims to promote a positive attitude towards diversity by building a model of sustainable development of intercultural education through activities to support a multicultural learning environment for children and students from educational institutions with a different concentration of vulnerable groups in the town of General Toshevo, and the villages of Spasovo and Senokos. The project envisages a variety of activities for working with students to implement intercultural education, training for pedagogical specialists to acquire, develop and apply competences for democratic culture, support for intensive work to build a community of active parents with the participation of representatives of all ethnicities, and conducting information campaigns aimed at preventing discrimination based on ethnic origin. The following outcomes are going to be achieved: - Created a supportive and inclusive multicultural environment in educational institutions for successful social inclusion and integration of children from vulnerable groups; - Greater commitment and increased motivation of children from different cultural communities regarding the learning process; - Built skills for effective communication and cooperation in a multicultural environment; - Increased tolerance, understanding and respect for different cultures and traditions among children and parents; - Improved professional skills and competencies of teachers and mediators; - Increased awareness of the target groups about the role of education as a factor for the successful development of children. In the long term, the project will have a significant impact on improving the interaction between the interested parties and ethnic groups on the territory of the municipalities of General Toshevo and Balchik. The project will contribute to the sustainability of the model of intercultural education, forming tolerance and preserving the cultural identity of children from different ethnicities.
