The current project aims to achieve sustainable development of intercultural education in a multicultural environment and to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, in educational institutions with a different concentration of vulnerable groups, in the municipalities of Dobrich and Kavarna. The project envisages a variety of activities for working with students and children to promote cultural understanding, tolerance and respect among them and increase their motivation for active inclusion in the educational process; training of pedagogical specialists and mediators to apply various competences for democratic culture within the framework of intercultural education in a multicultural environment; creation of a community of active parents with the participation of representatives of all ethnic and social groups; conducting information campaigns aimed at preventing discrimination based on ethnic origin. The results of the project implementation will have a sustainable development and long-term effect: an improved educational multicultural environment by introducing diverse forms of learning and promoting intercultural communication between students/children whose mother tongue is not Bulgarian and those whose mother tongue is Bulgarian; formed key competences in the target groups for intercultural dialogue, understanding and acceptance of cultural diversity; increased motivation of students for active participation in the educational process; a built community of active parents including representatives of all social and ethnic groups and increased awareness of the target groups about the role of education for the successful development and realization of children. The project will cover more than 450 children and students and their parents. The project duration is 24 months.
