The provision of a social service, called "Warm Lunch", will contribute to addressing the problems of material poverty and social isolation of the population in Dimitrovgrad Municipality. By supporting vulnerable people with warm lunch meals, the goal of the project proposal to provide healthy and nutritious food for lunch for users, unable to provide it themselves or with the help of their relatives, should be achieved. The provision of such kind of meals will be a significant help for these persons, who rely on and depend on similar kind of help every day. In addition, they will also receive accompanying support, oriented to the needs and problems of the users, in order to improve their quality of life. The implementation of the activities under the programme aims to reduce the waste of food, the use of plastic products, in accordance with the idea for environmental protection. The belonging of the persons to the basic target group should be checked and confirmed by the Directorate of Social Assistance, Dimitrovgrad. The service will be provided to 530 people, who are living in all settlements of the municipality, being identified in the scope of the target groups, in accordance with the conditions of social isolation. For that purpose, all sources of information will be used - applications, open telephone line, signals of citizens, information from social service providers and institutions, etc. The planned social service, providing a warm lunch, will be implemented in accordance with the requirements of the national legislative frame, ensuring a balanced, varied and healthy meals of the target groups involved in, in compliance with the requirements of the national standards for food safety and healthy dietary norms.
