The share of the population in the territory of the municipality of Krivodol, of retirement age, persons living alone, persons with chronic diseases, persons with permanent disabilities remains relatively large and is constantly increasing. The target group to which the activities in the project proposal will be directed are adults unable to care for themselves and people with disabilities. In the last ten to fifteen years, there has been a depopulation of the settlements in the municipality of Krivodol. In addition, the past state of emergency and economic crisis generated direct negative socio-economic consequences, disrupting economic stability. It has led to an increase in the growth of unemployment, the prospects for a large part of households are unclear, poverty and lack of income are deepening. Young people go to the big cities to look for a living, and here only the elderly people who suffer from various diseases and people with disabilities who are most in need of improving the quality of life and opportunities for social inclusion remain. The project proposal aims at continued support in a home environment for persons with disabilities and elderly people dependent on care. The opportunities for providing social and integrated health and social services in a home environment, including in the context of pandemic situations, will be expanded in most of the settlements on the territory of the municipality of Krivodol. The purpose of the provided help and support aimed at organizing the daily life of the elderly and persons with specific needs, with a view to keeping them for a longer time in their usual home environment, as well as limiting social isolation and preventing placement in an institution.
