The project proposal of Lukovit Municipality includes counselling services for children from vulnerable groups, children with disabilities, and Roma children at risk of poverty and severe housing deprivation. The project activities include social work for early childhood development, patronage care for children up to 3 years of age, integrated health and social services for children and young people and pedagogical work for prevention and support services in the community for children and young people up to the completion of secondary education. The work with marginalized communities, in particular Roma, includes psychological work, information campaigns and educational activities on the topics: early childbirth; health prophylaxis and prevention; health care awareness; immunization calendar; prevention of childhood diseases; preparative activities for inclusion in the education system etc. according to the identified needs; legal lectures and counselling on early marriage prevention; individual and group consultations on family planning. Training and regular supervision of the staff hired for the project are foreseen. The project covers five settlements: the villages of Belentsi, Petrevene, Bezhanovo, Dermantsi and the town of Lukovit. The project aims to include around 200 children under 18 years of age, of which about 150 will improve their living conditions as a result and of the ESF+ intervention, i.e. their well-being will improve by ensuring access to key services - social and integrated health and social services, as well as preparation for the preparation for inclusion of children, incl. children with special educational needs in the education system.
