"Improving energy efficiency in a multi-family residential building with address: Nova Zagora, Zagore residential area, block № 11"

The project includes the implementation of energy efficiency (EE) measures of a multi-family residential building on the territory of the town of Nova Zagora, gh. "Zagore", bl. 11. The main goal of the project is to provide better living conditions for the citizens, thermal comfort and a higher quality of the living environment, by renewing the housing infrastructure. The activities include installation of thermal insulation and replacement of the window frames of the site, waterproofing of the roof, repair of chimneys and lighting installations, construction of an accessible environment for people with reduced mobility and disabled people, i.e. all activities prescribed by the consultant who performed the energy survey of the building. The implementation of the construction and repair activities will contribute to raising the energy efficiency class of the dwellings to class "A" and improving the operational characteristics and extending the life cycle of the building itself. The introduced EE measures will improve the living standards of 72 households. The modernization of residential buildings through the introduction of EE measures will lead to an improvement of the microclimate and, accordingly, living conditions, and as a result, the quality of life in the entire city will increase. After carrying out the planned activities, a decrease in harmful carbon dioxide emissions in the environment is expected, which in the long term will have a positive impact on the general ecological condition. The implementation of measures to increase EE in the housing stock of the particular residential building will help to mitigate the adverse impacts of the transition process and contribute to the reduction of energy consumption, as well as help to relieve the pressure on rising energy costs.
