The current project proposal was developed in response to the need of the Pazardzhik municipality to improve the quality of atmospheric air in the municipality by reducing the emissions of FPCH10 from domestic heating as one of the main sources of air pollution. During the project preparation period, a survey of the attitudes of the municipality's population was carried out, which included members of households heating with solid fuel; market research to determine a product unit for alternative environmentally friendly heating devices. Report on prioritization of regions/neighborhoods and applicable measures ; Mechanism accounting for the revenue from the transfer of the replaced heating appliances; Criteria for prioritizing applicants has been developed. Mechanism for replacing solid fuel heating devices with ecological alternatives, Communication Plan and Activity Valuation Analysis have been prepared; the target values of the indicators have been determined. The main activities of the project are related to the dismantling of the existing appliances; supply, installation and warranty maintenance of environmentally friendly heating devices/systems and photovoltaic systems for own consumption; installation of a building installation in a building or residential property. The project envisages the implementation of communication campaigns at the local level and technical support for collecting applications, tours incl. signing contracts. Project organization and management, as well as visibility, transparency and communication will be ensured throughout the project implementation period. The implementation of this project is in fulfillment of the Complex Program of the Pazardzhik Municipality to reduce the levels of fine dust particles and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the atmospheric air and to reach the established norms for harmful substances in the atmospheric air in the territory of the Pazardzhik Municipality for period 2021 - 2027.
