The project proposal "Technical support to Pazardzhik Municipality for the implementation of the ITI instrument" is aimed at developing a quality KITI with the lead partner Pazardzhik Municipality, which provides for specific project proposals for subsequent financing under the RDP and the other programs included in the ITI approach. The target groups that will be covered by the activities under the project proposal are the population of Pazardzhik Municipality, which according to NSI data as of 31.12.2023 is 88,700 people. The main activities of the project proposal are related to the preparation of studies, analyses and the compilation of a list of project ideas and measures to be included in the scope of the ITI Concept, with the lead partner Pazardzhik Municipality, as well as in the preparation of project proposals under the procedure "Support for Integrated Urban Development in 40 Urban Municipalities - 2". The implementation of the planned activities will lead to the successful development of the KITI with integrated project ideas that will contribute to the creation of vibrant, economically strong and sustainable regions as a response to adverse demographic trends and deepening inter- and intra-regional disparities, including addressing negative demographic trends and reducing regional disparities in terms of population; increasing the economic growth of Bulgarian regions; promoting balanced territorial development through a polycentric network of cities, supported by the ITI approach.
