The municipality of Pleven has a disturbed quality of the atmospheric air, as the norms for the content of FDP10 in the atmospheric air have been exceeded. On the basis of the developed municipal program for KAV and the fact that the Municipality of Pleven is an eligible beneficiary under this procedure, with the present project proposal the Municipality of Pleven aims to have a positive impact on reducing excessive levels by building/upgrading measures for landscaping in the urban environment (FDP10) caused by secondary dusting in cities, with the aim of improving the quality of atmospheric air, and hence the living conditions of citizens. Priority investments in plant species with the highest degree of efficiency in terms of trapping FDP10 and purifying the air in a natural way will help to reduce the excessive levels of FDP10 in the territory of the city of Pleven. The target groups are the population of Pleven and its guests. The expected results are: construction/upgrading of green measures in an urban environment on an area of 84 971 square meters with plant species from the List of recommended plant species with a contribution to reducing secondary dusting, taking into account climatic, geographical, soil, etc. for Pleven factors. Contribution to improving the air quality in the territory of the city of Pleven by reducing the emissions of FDP10 from secondary dusting; Contribution to the implementation of the country's commitments in the sector and the achievement of goals determined by the Decision of the Court of Justice of the EU in case C-488/15 of 04.05.2017 and the failure to fulfill the obligations under Directive 2008/50/EC regarding the maximum permissible values of dust particles in atmospheric air Main activities: Act.1: Preparation of the project proposal; Act.2: Build/upgrade green infrastructure to reduce secondary dust in urban environments Act.3: Project organization and management, visibility, transparency and communication.
