The project involves the implementation of a complex of interconnected activities aiming to ameliorate the healthcare, social and ecological infrastructure in the city of Plovdiv. This will be carried out through the integrated implementation of measures for energy renovation of the building stock of two outpatient medical institutions (DKC-5 and MCRSM - 1 Plovdiv), together with the creation and improvement of the adjacent green areas, the construction and equipment of a new integrated health and social service for residential care for adults with permanent disabilities and elderly people unable to self-service in need of permanent medical care, as well as the creation of a city park complex (“Kan Krum”) in the municipality of Plovdiv. The implementation of the project will lead to the improvement of the quality of the public health and social infrastructure, as well as to the increase of the attractiveness, comfort and accessibility of the urban environment and green areas in the city, as well as to the expansion in the number of places for recreation and leisure for the population. As a result of the interventions, the quality of air will improve, the CO2 and PM pollution will be reduced, the energy efficiency of the public buildings will be achieved and the ecological characteristics of urban area will be enhanced. The implementation of the project is in correspondence with the Program for the Integrated Development of the Municipality, as well as corresponds to the objective of Procedure BG16FFPR003-1.001 to promote integrated and inclusive social, economic and environmental development, culture, natural heritage, sustainable tourism and security in urban areas.
