The project aims to implement an assembly of interrelated activities aimed at improving the road, educational and public infrastructure on the territory of the Municipality of Plovdiv. The above will be achieved through the implementation of integrated measures for the development of road and transport connections and a bicycle network (by building an extension of St. Petersburg Blvd.), construction and equipment of a new and modern building for the needs of the municipal education system (for Aleko Konstantinov Primary School - 2nd address), as well as energy efficiency renovation of the Administrative Court - Plovdiv, along with the improvement of green areas and spaces adjacent to the mentioned sites, meeting the needs of the target group - 325 485 people, citizens of Plovdiv. Project's implementation will lead to: improving the quality of the public road, educational and public infrastructure, as well as increasing the attractiveness and improving the comfort and conditions of the urban environment, incl. through increasing the green areas within the city. The efforts will have a positive impact on reducing transport traffic and congestion, improving connectivity and access to key urban and suburban road connections, incl. by providing opportunities for alternative transportation, modernizing education conditions and increasing the energy efficiency of public buildings, while at the same time reducing CO2 and PM pollution, optimizing the quality of ambient air, as well as the general state of the natural environment in the Municipality of Plovdiv. The project is in correspondence with the city's Plan for Integrated Development, as well as the objective of Procedure BG16FFPR003-1.001 "Support for integrated urban development in the 10 urban municipalities - main growth centers", under the PRD 2021-2027, to promote integrated and inclusive social, economic and environmental development, culture, natural heritage, sustainable tourism and security in urban areas.
