The project "Future for children in the municipality of Rouen" will provide prerequisites for increasing children's well-being. This will be achieved through a combination of policies and measures aimed at ensuring comprehensive care and protection of children, support for families, quality education and health care and access to services. These directions are also the basis of the European Child Guarantee (ECG), adopted by Council Recommendation (EU) 2021/1004 of 14 June 2021. The European Child Guarantee aims to prevent and counteract social exclusion by ensuring the access of children in need to a range of key services, thereby also contributing to the upholding of children's rights by combating child poverty and promoting equal opportunities. In implementation of the European initiative, a draft Action Plan was developed in implementation of the Council's recommendation to create a European Guarantee for the child (2030). The current project will support families in raising children, stimulate them to be more active in all spheres of life, in order to improve the quality of the child-parent relationship, which improves the atmosphere in the family environment for children. Young people and children will have the opportunity for comprehensive support - from looking after young children to counseling on opportunities to improve their education, qualification, employment chances, etc. A team of specialists assigned to the project within 24 months will provide various integrated health and social services for children from 0 to 18 years. The specialists will have a different professional profile: health, social and educational, which fully meets the needs of the target group: children in need and their families. Various activities on prevention and awareness of childhood morbidity and services for children are also foreseen under the project: campaigns, talks, individual consultations.
