The project proposal is implemented in partnership between the leading partner Ruse Municipality (RM) and the partner Regional Library "L. Karavelov", Ruse, and includes various groups of measures under the PRD through interventions in energy efficiency measures for public buildings and green urban infrastructure, culture, sports, and tourism. The planned activities will give a new, modern look not only to RM but also to the entire region and will contribute to the sustainable and integrated development of the territory. An integrated approach has been applied across 5 activities. RM is responsible for activities: 1: Construction of a new wing to the existing building of the Profit yielding building; Activity 2: Major repair, restoration, and conservation of the RL "L. Karavelov"; 3: Introduction of energy efficiency measures for the building of Ruse Ritual House; 4: Construction of an object for public events outdoors; 5. Organization and management, including measures for visibility, transparency, and communication. RL "L. Karavelov" is the main beneficiary of the outputs of Activity 2. The expected integrity from the implementation is the creation of an attractive, high-quality, inclusive environment, including cultural and green spaces, for attracting, retaining, and developing human capital for the needs of local socio-economic development. The new and modern look of the city will also contribute to the sustainable development of the target area as a sustainable and safe year-round tourist destination, by contextualizing spaces within the framework of the New European Bauhaus. This way, it will accelerate regional economic growth, sustainably utilize the specific local potential for development, improve the quality of the environment and cultural and tourist infrastructure, encourage income growth through sustainable job creation in the area, including supporting the development of integrated tourism. The project proposal corresponds to the PIRO 2021-2027.
