The BPI Co. plays a key role in maintaining and developing Bulgaria’s port infrastructure. With the growing volume of international trade and increasing demands on port services, the effectiveness of the administrative capacity of the enterprise is becoming increasingly important. Maintaining sustainable administrative capacity of the beneficiary throughout the life cycle of the project(s) includes taking into account the ability of employees to effectively undertake each step of the investment process - from planning, through implementation to reporting. This means that the beneficiary will be able to successfully plan and implement complex infrastructure projects, face minimal need for adjustments and contribute to the collection and reporting of data for projects and programmes. Strategic planning, implementation and evaluation focuses on building capacity throughout the investment cycle to support more effective investment of EU funds. The project is aimed at increasing the institutional and administrative capacity of the BPI Co. in order to improve the efficiency of port infrastructure management in Bulgaria. The project envisages conducting training and study visits for the exchange of experience and good practices of the employees of the BPI Co., which will meet the strategic needs of the Company, expressed in the need to improve the skills of employees and build capacity for managing complex infrastructure projects in the ports. Based on an online survey conducted among the BPI Co. employees, an "Analysis of the Training Needs of the BPI Co." (annex to the AF) was developed, which outlines both general training needs for the entire Company and needs that are specific to individual groups of employees engaged in certain functions and responsibilities. An indicative start date of 30.06.2025 has been set for the project - the date of announcing a procedure for the selection of a contractor.
