The team of SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" considers this project as a means to develop the training of doctoral students in a qualitatively new direction. The successful implementation of the project will ensure a sustainable link between education - science - business. This will significantly improve the quality of education and the realization of the PhD graduates. This will make PhD programmes more attractive to young people and enable the University to attract the next generation of researchers and talents to academic careers. The development of applied scientific research and the commercialization of scientific research is also an expected outcome of the project. At the same time, it will ensure an increase in innovative potential in the creative arts and recreational industries. They are crucial for generating social and inclusive innovations and new business models that are slowing down their development due to lack of well-trained professionals, inadequately implemented public policies and outdated regulations. These issues will be the main subject of analysis in the proposed doctoral programs. In addition, this project is also a means to improve the expert potential and qualification of scientists and academic faculty at SU "St. Kliment Ohridski". The main activities of the project are: the establishment of an interdisciplinary doctoral school, implemented jointly by five faculties: Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Pedagogy, Faculty of Slavic Philologies, Faculty of Classical and New Philologies, training of 20 PhD students, building a network of partnerships between the University and public institutions, NGO and business organizations to support modern education in the doctoral degree, realization of mobilities with the aim of increasing the qualification and support for the publication activity of doctoral students, ensuring publicity and sustainability of the achieved results.
