The project proposal aims to contribute to the compliance with the requirements of Directive 91/271/ EEC on urban waste-water treatment, by providing infrastructure for wastewater treatment and treatment in 3 agglomerations more than 10000 p.e. on the territory of Sofia Municipality - Sofia, Bankya and Novi Iskar. As a result of analyses and studies, taking into account the CN No.PJ- JASPERS/2020-424/ET/RA/jw dated 21.12.20 of JASPERS, the following sites have been identified to be included in the scope of the project: "Completion of the sewerage network of Krastova Vada- East district, Construction of the sewerage network for Dragalevtsi district, Completion of the sewerage network of Suhodol district, Completion of the sewerage network of Obelya district, Completion of the sewerage network of Benkovski district, Completion and reconstruction of the sewerage network of Bankya, Gradoman, Mihailovo, Verdikal districts and Ivanyane, Bankya distr, Completion of the sewerage network of Novi Iskar. The project envisages construction of 100,297 km sewerage network, as follows: 9, 789 km mixed sewerage network; 55, 926 km domestic sewer network and 33, 140 km rain sewer network, newly built pusher 1,442 km and reconstruction of 1,941km sewer network. The additional number of p.e.with access to improved wastewater treatment after the implementation of the project is 12 434 and the total pollution load that is collected and treated is expected to reach 1,393,324 p.e. The project will be completed in stages between the two program terms - stage I OP "Environment 2014-2020" and stage II with funding from the P "Environment" 2021-2027.
