The proposed project contributes to the achievement of the main goals related to the promotion of innovative and interdisciplinary training of doctoral students to achieve a higher quality of teaching and scientific results and support the development of innovative economy with focus on sustainable development and labor market needs. The project is implemented in partnership between three Bulgarian higher schools. Led by Trakia University-Stara Zagora (TrU), with accredited professional directions: 1.2.Pedagogy; 3.8.Economy; 4.3.Biological sciences; 5.4.Energy; 5.12.Food technologies; 6.1.Crop production; 6.3.Agricultural sciences and veterinary medicine; 6.4.Veterinary medicine; 7.1.Medicine; 7.4.Public health. Partner universities are: Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov"-Varna (MU), with accredited professional direction 7.4.Public Health, and Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski"-Sofia (SU), with accredited professional direction 3.8.Economics. Project activities include the development and implementation of programs for doctoral students, including the admission of doctoral students and the participation of doctoral students in scientific conferences to share results and good practices supporting their professional development, in direct connection with identified needs. The project is aimed at providing conditions for tying doctoral programs to the priorities for the development of the economy and the labor market and increasing the level of their practical applicability. Implementation guarantees the establishment of a sustainable and effective relationship between higher education institutions and the labor market. The activities are carried out under the stimulated sharing of resources and the effective use of innovative forms of training, promotion of market orientation and business skills and skills related to the intelligent specialization of scientists and researchers to create innovations and commercialize scientific results.
