As a result of the project, three PhD schools will be developed at AU-Plovdiv and one at UNWE. The PhD schools at AU-Plovdiv will be under P.F. 4.4 "Earth Sciences", and the PhD school at UNWE will include the following P.F.: 3.7 "Administration and Management" and 3.6 "Law". The three doctoral schools at AU-Plovdiv will be in an accredited Ph.D. program "Ecology and Ecosystem Conservation" with the following focus: 1. Environmental security 2. Ecosystem services 3. Restoration and maintenance of rare species populations The UNWE will develop an inerdisciplinary PhD school that will incorporate a combination of management and law, which in everyday practice are inseparable capabilities. The doctoral school, will include the following accredited doctoral programs: Administration and Governance (Regional Development)", "Organization and Governance beyond the Material (Public Administration)", "Governance", "Civil and Family Law" and "Administrative Law and Administrative Process". Associated partners of the project are Green Balkans Association - Stara Zagora, Association of Bulgarian Cities and Regions, and AUTEGRI LtD, which will support the practical orientation of the PhD programmes. The two universities will share resources: libraries, research databases, consultations with faculty, the opportunity to attend additional courses and other resources necessary for the quality training of doctoral students, the making of interdisciplinary and multifaceted research with high added value and the development of successful dissertations. 14 PhD students will be enrolled in the new programs, three of them at AU-Plovdiv. Each of the PhD students will be provided with the opportunity to specialize abroad and work with a partner from practice. In addition, 17 lecturers from the two universities will receive support to improve their teaching skills in the PhD project.
