Machado-Joseph disease is especially prevalent in the Azores. We will address critical challenges in this disease through 3 initiatives: 1. Creation of a smartphone application to collect information. 2. Characterization of CAG repeat instability, to improve genetic testing. 3. Strengthening the involvement of Azorean patients in JDM initiatives.
