Biorefineries allow the valorisation of all their products, reducing costs and stimulating industrial production. The project aims to develop a microalgae/cyanobacteria biorefinery using strains native to the Azores, to enrich animal feed with nutraceutical properties and/or develop cosmaceutical products, valuing production surpluses and supporting a strong, resilient, sustainable and circular economy.
