In this project we will address key challenges in population research on chronic pain: 1) define adverse trajectories of musculoskeletal pain based on reported and experimental data, 2) estimate the impact of childhood adversity and resilience on the incorporation of chronic pain, and 3) apply emerging machine learning techniques to answer epidemiological questions and improve approaches to data protection.
