The CyanoMetAl project aims to identify cyanobacterial metallophores as metal chelating agents capable of modulating metal concentrations and inhibiting molecular targets of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Through advanced genomics and metabolomics tools, the project combines the production of metallophores for a rich biodiversity of cyanobacteria with the deregulation of metal ions observed in DA, for new and more effective treatments.
