The intervention in Variante do Fojo, serves the purpose of changing the existing profile of the road to be intervened with a view to a consequent deceleration of the car speed currently practiced in the place, prioritising and introducing (where there are no) roads dedicated to the circulation of gentle modes of travel, namely pedestrian and cycling, creating safety conditions conducive to their coexistence with motorized traffic.
