The municipality of Amarante, with its vast history of floods and floods, intends to respond to climate vulnerabilities, through the adoption of measures to increase its resilience to flood events and extreme phenomena, increasing the level of protection, recovery and enhancement of the ecosystems of the rivers Ôlo and Tâmega, in order to promote the improvement of the living conditions of the population, the local economy, heritage and the environment.
