The investment in the construction of the new port of Lajes das Flores follows the passage of Hurricane Lorenzo and the Efrain depression through the Autonomous Region of the Azores and is essentially aimed at the rehabilitation of this port infrastructure in order to restore its safe and efficient operation. The operation has an estimated cost of around EUR 197 million.
